《谍影迷情 Covert Affairs》的Kari Matchett及《真爱如血 True Blood》的Stephen Moyer将主演CBC加剧《幸运之子 Fortunate Son》。Andrew Wreggitt主创的《幸运之子》讲述60年代末时越战发生，而在反越战运动中美国人Ruby Howard（Kari Matchett饰）逃到加拿大，并且还帮助逃兵或逃避兵役者越过美加边境。不过Ruby没料到事件的发展走向，并引起一些人注意到她。
Darren Mann饰演越战逃兵Travis Hunter，他的麻烦过去跟随着他来到加拿大，并把Howard一家拖下水﹑Stephen Moyer饰演CIA特工Vern Lang。其他演员包括Kacey Rohl﹑Rick Roberts﹑Patrick Gallagher﹑Ty Olsson﹑Alex Nachi及Zoé de Grand’Maison。
